Please reach us at rhiannondicken@outlook.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Sprout & Play is not a childcare, daycare or custodial care service.

Sprout & Play operates as a short-duration instructional and tutoring service providing structured teacher-led educational sessions focused on literacy instruction and numeracy instruction for children prior to and during the early years of schooling.

Families enrol at Sprout & Play specifically for educational instruction delivered by qualified teachers in small-group instructional classes. Supervision is incidental to the delivery of instruction and not the primary purpose of the service.

Children attend one fixed instructional session per week.

No. Sprout & Play is designed to complement a child’s existing Kindergarten, daycare or school arrangements rather than replace them. Children continue attending their regular Kindergarten, daycare or school setting and attend Sprout & Play for one fixed short-duration educational session per week focused on literacy instruction, numeracy instruction and early learning instruction.

Sprout & Play provides structured teacher-led educational sessions designed to supplement children’s existing educational experiences through small-group instructional learning opportunities delivered by qualified teachers.

Yes! We absolutely offer trail sessions.  Please get in contact with us if you would like to book in a trial session.

To help children feel comfortable in their new learning environment, parents are welcome to attend the first 5–10 minutes of their child’s very first session.

This provides children with an opportunity to become familiar with the classroom environment and meet their teacher before participating in the instructional session.

Following the initial welcome period, parents are encouraged to say goodbye so children can participate fully in the structured small-group learning session alongside their peers.

As Sprout & Play operates as a teacher-led instructional and tutoring service, sessions are structured for enrolled children participating in the educational instruction. Parents generally do not remain in the classroom during sessions following the initial orientation period.

If additional support is required during a child’s transition into the class environment, this can be discussed individually with the teacher.

Yes. Sprout & Play provides families with individualised written feedback regarding their child’s participation and progress within the sessions at the end of each term.

Families also receive regular communication relating to the educational content and instructional focus areas being covered within classes.

Through the SeeSaw App and Facebook Group we may share:

  • information about current literacy and numeracy learning focuses
  • examples of classroom learning experiences
  • educational resources for optional use at home
  • updates relating to class activities and content

This communication is designed to help families remain informed about the learning sessions.
