Sprout & Play is a specialised tutoring and learning program in Cleveland (Brisbane), designed to help children build strong foundational learning skills before they start Prep.

What we offer
Our 2 hour classes are led by an experienced Prep Teacher to support children aged 3–5 in developing early literacy, numeracy and school learning foundations prior to starting Prep.
Classes are kept small (maximum 8 children) to focus on the individual needs of your child.
Our engaging, hands-on learning experiences are designed to help children feel capable, supported and prepare them for what is expected in a Prep Classroom.
Our program is designed to complement a Kindy program where you sign up for one session a week across a 10 week term.
You can sign up for the full year or multiple classes a week if you wish!

Hi, I’m Rhiannon, and I'm so glad you're here!
With over 12 years of experience in education as a Prep Teacher, Deputy Principal and Head of Curriculum, I have developed a strong understanding of the skills and confidence children need to successfully transition from Kindy to Prep.
Drawing on my Bachelor of Education and extensive classroom leadership experience, I created the Sprout & Play early learning program to support families in bridging the gap between Kindy and Prep through engaging, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
I would love to welcome your family into the program and support your child in building the confidence, independence, and foundational skills needed for a positive start to school.

Little Seeds (3-4 Year Olds)
Little Seeds is a fun and nurturing 2-hour early learning program for children aged 3–4 years, designed to build confidence and develop the foundational skills needed for future learning.
Led by an experienced Prep Teacher, each session combines purposeful play with engaging, teacher-led activities that introduce children to early literacy, numeracy and school-ready learning behaviours in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Children participate in hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, communication and independence while developing the social and emotional skills that help them feel confident in group learning settings.
With small class sizes (maximum 8 children), every child receives individual attention and encouragement, allowing them to learn at their own pace while building meaningful relationships with their teacher and peers.
Little Seeds is the perfect first step into structured learning and complements your child’s Kindy experience by providing one enriching session each week across a 10-week term.

School Readiness Program
Our Sprouts program is a fun, engaging 2-hour school readiness class designed for children in the year before they begin Prep.
Led by an experienced Prep Teacher, each session focuses on developing the essential literacy, numeracy, social, emotional and independence skills children need to thrive in their first year of school.
Through hands-on learning experiences, structured play and explicit teaching, children build confidence while becoming familiar with the routines, expectations and learning behaviours of a Prep classroom. Every activity is carefully planned to nurture curiosity, resilience and a genuine love of learning.
With small class sizes (maximum 8 children), every child receives personalised support in a warm, encouraging environment where they feel known, valued and capable.
Our Sprouts program complements your child’s Kindy experience and provides the perfect bridge between early childhood education and a confident start to Prep.
Growing Readers
Little Seeds (3-4 Year Olds)
Growing Readers
Helping Prep and Year 1 students grow into confident readers.
Growing Readers is a small group tutoring program designed for children in Prep and Year 1 who would benefit from extra support with their literacy development.
Led by an experienced Prep Teacher, each one-hour session provides explicit, engaging instruction that reinforces what children are learning at school while building their confidence and love of reading.
Through fun, hands-on activities, children develop essential literacy skills including:
- Phonics and sound awareness
- Early reading fluency
- Reading comprehension
- Writing skills
- Vocabulary and oral language
- Confidence and independence as learners
With a maximum of 8 students per class, every child receives personalised support in a warm, encouraging environment where they can ask questions, take risks, and celebrate their progress.
Individual half hour sessions are also available.
